Warren Chan, Director at Anacapa Partners:
Warren is a Director at Anacapa Partners, a Bay Area-based private equity fund focused on backing searchers. He has over 10 years of experience investing in people (managers, operators, and search funds), companies, and real assets. He is passionate about responsible stewardship and growth of small private businesses. He draws on his, his team’s, and his family’s experience as well as their network to assist searchers throughout their journey in the acquisition, transition, and value creation process.
Prior to Anacapa, Warren was a search investor with Relay Investments, where he opened their San Francisco office.
Warren currently serves on the Boards of Thillens and Quick Soft and was formerly on the Boards of Earth Development, Lerner Solutions, and Clinicos IPS.
Warren earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his SB in Mathematics from MIT, where he was a Burchard Scholar and an Alan Michaels Scholar.
Joe An, Managing Partner, Vast Hill Partners:
Joe is currently searching to acquire and operate a business through Vast Hill Partners, a traditional search fund he founded in 2024. He began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Lazard where he advised blue chip energy clients on M&A, capital structure, and strategic advisory assignments. He later worked at Blue Wolf Capital, a NY based special situations oriented middle market private equity firm, focusing on the healthcare and industrial services sectors. Most recently, he was an early stage venture investor at Titanium Ventures, an SF based early-stage venture capital firm investing in high-growth companies including Crowdstrike, GitLab, BigCommerce, and others. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with honors and an MBA, both from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Fellow and majored in finance, entrepreneurship and operations.
