These will be discussed as Columbia alum Dean Gamanos shares networking tips that are included in his new book (soon to be published) about starting a business entitled Super Start-Up.
Dean Gamanos graduated from both Columbia College and Columbia Business School where he majored in marketing. After serving in the military in Vietnam, his career took off on Madison Avenue at some of the largest agencies including McCann Erickson, J. Walter Thompson, and, Young & Rubicam. He managed many national accounts including Nabisco, Coca Cola, Johnson & Johnson, and dozens of others. Later, he started a boutique ad agency, the Retele Company. Today he also teaches entrepreneurship at NY's F.I.T. as an Adjunct Professor. Dean was a founding member of, and a former co-president of, the Alumni Club of NY and is now the Chair of the CBS Alumni Club's CT/Westchester Committee.
The alumni club is a great way to meet and interact with others who often share similar experiences and interests. Those attending will have an opportunity to present their “elevator speech” and to network with other attendees.
