The purpose of the Adam Smith Society is to build a community of Columbia Business School students interested in exploring the links between the economy, government and society. The purpose of the Executive Board will be to ensure continuity of the club mission and operations through event planning, membership management and internal and external relations management.
Students are exposed to viewpoints of both sides of an topic traditionally dealing with economics, government, and/or society. Access to a holistic view of a particular topic provides members with necessary information to take an informed position on the topic as well as engage in constructive discussion with peers. The club also provides access to thought leaders within the socio-politico-economic space through campus and national events.
