Arts Society: MoMA Guided Tour "Jack Whitten: The Messenger"

Join the Arts Society as we visit MoMA. We will be taking a 60-minute guided tour to explore the brand-new exhibition about Jack Whitten. The MoMA exhibition showcases over 175 works spanning Jack Whitten’s nearly six-decade career, highlighting his innovations in painting, sculpture, and abstraction. Despite pressure to create representational art during the Civil Rights movement, Whitten redefined modern art by forging new abstract forms that reshaped the connection between art, memory, and society.
