The Silfen Leadership Series is an initiative wherein world-renowned leaders come to campus to speak to students. It is funded by an endowment set up by David ’68 and Lyn Silfen. Each year, a board of six to eight students is selected, with whom we work to run each Silfen session.

As a student-run venture, in conjunction with the Dean's Office and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, the Series aims to enhance the shared access to intellectual capital between students and the leaders who drive organizations, societies, and markets forward.

Join us for an engaging and insightful panel discussion featuring two of the most influential leaders in the world of arts and culture: Katherine Brown, Executive Director of the New York City Ballet, and Diana Taylor, Chair of the Board of Directors.

This dynamic conversation will explore the unique career journeys of these remarkable women, from Ms. Taylor's trailblazing roles in finance and government to Ms. Brown's distinguished background in fundraising and music. Together, they will share their experiences navigating traditionally male-dominated industries, building strong professional networks, and leading one of the world’s most iconic ballet companies through times of artistic innovation and financial sustainability.

Whether you're passionate about the arts, interested in leadership and management, or eager to hear stories of resilience and innovation, this panel promises to inspire and inform.

We look forward to seeing you there!
