User-generated content (UGC), in the form of text reviews, comments, videos, and photos, is being submitted directly to companies as well as through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest. Join the Entertainment, Media and Technology Committee of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York for a networking reception and a panel discussion. Learn how these leading businesses are successfully tapping into the power of UGC to engage customers, foster community and increase consumer endorsement.
 
This panel will address topics such as:
•       The role of UGC in the overall marketing plan
•       Implicit and explicit incentives that motivate consumers to share information
•       Campaign goals and how to measure success
•       How the brand can work with agencies to plan and manage a UGC campaign
•       How companies encourage authentic conversations around the brand
•       Contingency plans for UGC campaigns
•       Tips for marketing executives to both build and enhance their brands through UGC
