Global Leaders: Diplomatic Vision from Belgium and the EU with Ambassador Benedicte Frankinet

As a continuation of our Ambassador Series, Bénédicte Frankinet, the Permanent Representative of Belgium to the United Nations, will discuss Belgium's vision for diplomatic leadership in the 21st century.
Belgium is a founding member of the European Union and hosts the EU's headquarters as well as those of several other major international organizations such as NATO.
Before her appointment as Belgium's UN Ambassador in 2013, Ms. Frankinet was Ambassador to Israel and previously served as Director for the United Nations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels. Ms. Frankinet holds degrees in political science, social science and journalism from the Free University of Brussels.
