About the Event:

Misery Beneath the Miracle in East Asia dismantles the illusion of East Asia's economic miracle, focusing on the social costs of unchecked growth. In this book talk, Lukauskas and Shimabukuro will explain how the productivist welfare strategies have created a multidimensional welfare crisis, leaving millions unprotected.

---

Co-sponsored by the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, the Urban & Social Policy Program at the School of International and Public Affairs, the China Center for Social Policy, and the APEC Study Center at Columbia University
