The real estate industry has undergone profound shifts from market volatility and rising rates to affordability pressures, sustainability expectations, and evolving consumer preferences. With real estate influencing communities and urban development, the ethical responsibilities of industry leaders have never been more pronounced.

As part of Leadership and Ethics Week, the Student Leadership and Ethics Board (SLEB) of the Bernstein Center is excited to bring together real estate leaders to discuss how ethical decision-making emerges in their field. This panel will explore how top leaders navigate ethical questions around transparency, equitable access, sustainability, customer advocacy, and fair representation while operating in one of the most competitive, high-stakes markets in the world.

Panelists:

-Lisa Gomez, Chief Executive Officer, L+M Development Partners
-Jeff Monge, Managing Director of Monge Capital
-Richard Cadena ’26, (Moderator), VP, Commercial Real Estate Credit Underwriter, BHI

This event is sponsored by The Paul M. Montrone Seminar Series on Ethics in partnership with the Columbia Business School Real Estate Association.
