Producing a Broadway show is one of the most complex leadership challenges in the arts. It involves building trust across creative and financial stakeholders, taking bold risks on new work, and navigating public scrutiny while staying grounded in your values. The Student Leadership and Ethics Board (SLEB) of the Bernstein Center for Leadership and Ethics is excited to bring together acclaimed Broadway producers and a leading investor to discuss what it takes to champion a show from idea to opening night.

The conversation will explore how producers select the stories they believe in, collaborate with artists to bring those stories to life, and communicate the value of the work to investors, especially when tradeoffs need to be made between creative integrity and commercial viability.

Panelists:

-Rashad V. Chambers, Tony Award-Winning Producer; Talent Manager; Lawyer (Fat Ham, Topdog/Underdog, Purpose)

-Lamar Richardson ’15CC, Tony Award-Winning Producer; Award-Winning Actor; Founder of the Ivy Lion Collective (Merrily We Roll Along, Gypsy)
