Harnessing Your Personal Influence as a Student Leader [PPIL]

A essential component of being a great leader is not only understanding the foundations of influence, but also how to effectively deploy and manage these skills. As part of the Leadership Development Series under the auspices of The Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership, this workshop facilitated by James T. Carter will serve as a primer equipping our student leaders with a set of tools to navigate complex situations to rise above the common pitfalls of power dynamics and soft influence.

Key Learning Objectives:
- Understand personal bases of power
- Identify common biases and pitfalls in group decision-making
- Develop strategies to be a more influential peer leader

Attending this workshop will provide credit towards the Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL), focusing on the DEI essential skill of mitigating bias and prejudice.
