Investors see hundreds of prospective searchers. What separates the ones they back from the ones they pass on? In this session, Roland Yang of Trilogy walks through the selection criteria from the other side of the table - the traits, track record, and mindset that make investors lean in - and what you can do now to become the kind of searcher funds want to support. Expect a candid look at how top investors evaluate people, not just plans.

Roland is based in Trilogy's Bay Area office. Before Trilogy, he was in business operations and served as chief of staff at At-Bay, a cyber insurance and cybersecurity startup, and worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. He earned a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Roland lives in San Francisco and volunteers on the board of The Haverford School; when he's not biking, hiking, or listening to electronic music, he's trying out new recipes in his kitchen.

Whether you're preparing to raise or just want to understand how investors think, you'll leave knowing what a great searcher looks like - and how to become one.
