The Chazen Institute is excited to announce the Traveling While Exploring the Hispanic Identity event, presented in collaboration with the Hispanic Business Association (HBA). Traveling While... is a series of discussions that aims to create a more inclusive environment at CBS. Conversations focus on global travel challenges, cross cultural learning, managing identities, mitigating prejudice and bias, and sensitive conversations. We invite members of the CBS community to join us in listening empathetically as our speakers delve into the impact of international travel on identity, family values, and global citizenship. HBA students will explore questions about navigating heritage and global identity, bridging generational gaps, and how travel influences familial and cultural bonds. We will discuss how these journeys challenge or reinforce personal values and gain insights into the transformative power of exploration. Student presenters are Monica Bolanos '25, Christian Carrion-Vera '26, Sebastian Espinosa '25, Maria Iglesias '25, and Carolina Uribe '26.

This workshop is a Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) approved event focusing on the DEI related topics of 1.) understanding identity and perspective taking, and 2.) managing intercultural dialogue.
