Prior to becoming CEO, she held a range of leadership roles, including President of Citi and CEO of the Global Consumer Bank. The discussion will be moderated by James Gorman, the Chairman of The Walt Disney Co. and Senior Advisor of General Atlantic. He is also Chairman Emeritus of Morgan Stanley.
This in-person-only event will be held at Columbia Business School in Geffen Hall's Cooperman Commons and is limited to Columbia University community members and invited guests. You must present a Columbia University or government-issued ID that matches the name used on your registration to enter. A grab-and-go dinner will be provided for registered guests following the talk, while supplies last.

About Jane Fraser:
Jane Fraser is the Chief Executive Officer of Citi, the world's most global bank, which serves clients in more than 180 countries and jurisdictions.
Since becoming CEO in March 2021, Jane has launched a multi-year strategy to transform, simplify, and modernize the bank for the digital age. Jane is committed to making Citi the preeminent banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs, a global leader in wealth management, and a valued personal bank in its home market of the U.S.
During her 20-year career at Citi, Jane has held leadership roles across Citi’s consumer and institutional businesses. Before becoming CEO, she was President of Citi and CEO of the Global Consumer Bank. She also served as Global Head of Strategy and M&A, CEO of Citi’s Private Bank and CEO of Citigroup Latin America, among other leadership roles. Jane joined Citi in 2004 in the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Before joining Citi, Jane was a Partner at McKinsey & Company.
Jane serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Roundtable, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Partnership for New York City. She is Chair of the Financial Services Forum and a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s International Advisory Panel, Harvard Business School’s Board of Dean’s Advisors, the Stanford Global Advisory Board and the Economic Club of New York. Jane has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an M.A. in economics from Cambridge University. She is married with two children.
About James Gorman:
James P. Gorman is Chairman of The Walt Disney Co. and Senior Advisor of General Atlantic. He is also Chairman Emeritus of Morgan Stanley.
Prior to becoming Chairman Emeritus in January 2025, Mr. Gorman served as Executive Chairman from January to December 2024, CEO from January 2010 until December 2023, and Chairman from January 2012 until December 2023. He joined the Firm in February 2006 and was named Co-President in December 2007.
Before he joined Morgan Stanley, Mr. Gorman held a succession of executive positions at Merrill Lynch, and prior to this was a senior partner of McKinsey & Co. He began his career as an attorney in Melbourne, Australia.
Separately, Mr. Gorman serves as a Director of the Council on Foreign Relations, Co-Chair of the Board of Overseers of the Columbia Business School, and Trustee of Columbia University.
He formerly served as a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, President of the Federal Advisory Council to the U.S. Federal Reserve Board, Co-Chairman of the Partnership for New York City, Chairman of the Board of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), and Co-Chairman of the Business Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Born in Australia, Mr. Gorman received a BA and law degrees from the University of Melbourne and an MBA degree from Columbia University.
