Join us for a CBS Distinguished Speaker Series conversation with Ron Baron, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Portfolio Manager at Baron Capital. Baron founded the firm in 1982 and brings more than five decades of investment research experience. Earlier in his career, he worked as an institutional securities analyst and as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent Office while attending George Washington University Law School.

Known for his long term approach to investing and deep focus on understanding the businesses behind the companies in which Baron Capital invests, Baron will share insights from his career building one of the investment industry’s most recognized firms. The conversation will explore his investment philosophy, lessons from decades of evaluating companies and leaders, and his perspective on markets, entrepreneurship, and identifying businesses positioned for long term growth.

This conversation will be moderated by Costis Maglaras, Dean of Columbia Business School and the David and Lyn Silfen Professor of Business.
