Crafting a fulfilling career in social and environmental impact can take various forms.  Whether you are seeking a fulltime impact role or a corporate position that incorporates impact elements, this session will help you design a path that aligns with your interests and strengths.

In this 75-minute session, Emily Lamia of Pivot Journeys will navigate the landscape of impact roles including climate/social impact – including sustainability, education, impact investing, international development, and more!  She will help you gain clarity on what a meaningful career entails for you, and guide you in uncovering opportunities in today's world. Topics covered include:  how to embrace a contemporary approach to job searching, leaving behind outdated methods, and building your knowledge and confidence to create potential opportunities in the social impact space.

As a Career Coach and Learning & Development Consultant, Emily Lamia has helped individuals for over a decade navigate their next career move and thrive in work that’s meaningful to them.
She spent the first part of her career working in electoral politics, serving on electoral and advocacy campaigns, and at the Democratic National Committee. She found her love of coaching and talent development as the Executive Director of a career development association for progressive political operatives. Additionally, she managed the National Board office for the Girl Scouts of the USA where she supported the Board’s oversight and promotion of strategic initiatives for the Girl Scout Movement.
In 2020, she was selected as one of Business Insider's most innovative career coaches.
