Deming Center Study Tour - NY/NJ Port Authority

The Deming Center is delighted to host its a study tour to the Port Authority of New York and
New Jersey (NY/NJ Port Authority) on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026. As the largest port complex on the East Coast,
the NY/NJ Port Authority manages and maintains critical infrastructure in the New York–New Jersey trade and
transportation network, including five of the region's airports, the New York–New Jersey seaport, the PATH rail
transit system, six tunnels and bridges, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the George Washington Bridge Bus
Station, and the World Trade Center site in Manhattan. With a visit to its Newark port, in particular, the study tour will give insight into the NY/NJ Port Authority’s freight operations, its role in the global container-shipping industry, and its six-pillar mission across safety and security, high-quality project implementation, customer experience, operational excellence, sustainability, and talent retention/support.
