#folding_at_home

CBS students started a Slack channel to help classmates  donate their computers' downtime to run dynamic protein simulations to help find a care for COVID-19. The idea was adopted from a project started at Stanford.

Food Donations for Hospital Staff at Elmhurst Hospital

While Manhattan has 5.3 beds per 1,000 people, Queens only has 1.5 hospital beds. As Elmhurst Hospital reaches capacity, please consider contributing to this food drive for the hardworking staff. Visit fundraiser here and NYT opinion piece  for context of hospitals in Queens here.

A Million Masks: Support Fund

Join the nonprofit A Million Masks in raising $750,000 to secure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for frontline hospital workers in NYC.  Learn more and contribute here.

This grassroots movement is building a national, centralized platform to enable communities to get PPE to healthcare providers on the frontlines. It is founded by physicans and medical researchers. Visit the website to donate, advocate to legislators, and learn more.

Food Bank for NYC
