DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Paul Milstein Center and in partnership with the Real Estate Association, we invite you to an interactive discussion with James Schmid ’05, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Anchor Health Properties, moderated by Professor Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh, Co-Director of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate. James will share his perspectives on the healthcare real estate industry, property and capital markets, and running an entrepreneurial, people-focused business. \n\nAnchor Health Properties, a healthcare real estate development, management, and investment company, focuses exclusively on medical outpatient buildings and specialty healthcare facilities across the United States. With more than $2.2B of completed development projects, more than 8M square feet under management, and more than $3.2B invested in stabilized healthcare facilities, Anchor continues to create a better healthcare experience for patients and a competitive edge for their clients. \n\nAs Managing Partner and CIO for Anchor Health Properties, James is responsible for the firm's acquisitions efforts, capital markets activities, and investor relationship management, in addition to supporting the sourcing of new development and property management opportunities. Under James’ leadership the firm has closed on nearly $3 billion of new investments since June 2016.\n\nJames received his BA and MBA from Columbia University and has also studied at Pembroke College, Oxford University.
