About Us

The purpose of the Private Equity Club is to bring together MBA Candidates interested in the private equity industry and private equity investing, which is deemed to include illiquid, minority or majority investments in growth equity, all sizes and stages of leverage buyouts and distressed investing, as well as the professions that provide services to or interact with the private equity industry, such as secondaries, co-invest, as well as private equity value creation roles. The PE club’s mission is to educate, foster social interaction among members, alumni and industry professionals and provide career opportunities in the private equity industry. New York is the largest hub of private equity firms in the world and there is significant interest in the industry among Columbia Business School’s student body.
