About Us

We aim to build an inclusive community of individuals who are interested in exploring the academic and career opportunities within the healthcare industry. We seek to increase interest in healthcare at CBS by building industry knowledge, showcasing diverse career opportunities, connecting students with healthcare leaders, and engaging with the broader Columbia healthcare ecosystem. HCIA aims to be a valuable resource that helps students navigate and advance their healthcare careers, whether in pharmaceuticals, payors and providers, investing, entrepreneurship, digital health, consulting, or other sectors across the healthcare industry. Specifically, we aim to: (i) Build a strong HCIA alumni and student community (ii) Provide career guidance and opportunities (iii) Collaborate with other healthcare programs (iv) Cultivate relationships with the external healthcare community (v) Have fun while doing all the above

Members Benefits

Members of HCIA will benefit socially, academically, and professionally. Healthcare is complicated – we get it. And it can be daunting for a newcomer to become familiar with Healthcare's various subsectors, and for experienced professionals to keep up with new developments. To help the student body navigate the complex healthcare ecosystem we will provide education, access to great speakers, and recruiting support to all members, both by leveraging the larger NYC community and by leveraging the excellent experience of existing club members. There will also be various social events to foster a sense of camaraderie and help cultivate friendships between healthcare students that will last well into the future.
