Membership provides access to an exclusive year-round suite of programming, mentorship, networking, and other real estate career opportunities, including: Alumni & Mentorship Program: First-year students are paired with industry professionals, providing a trusted industry adviser students can turn to in recruiting. The REA also pairs first- and second-year students in a student mentorship program. Career Forum: The REA hosts an annual Real Estate Career Forum, providing an opportunity to network and learn about internship and full-time employment opportunities. Past participants have included Blackrock, CIM, Extell, SL Green, Toll Brothers, Vornado, Eastdil, L&M, Silverstein, Tramell Crow, PGIM, Hines, Tishman Speyer, UDR, Related, Ares, and more. Real Estate Treks: Once per semester, the REA travels to a major city to learn more about the local market. The REA also plans an international study trip with the Chazen Institute to learn more about international real estate markets. Site Tours & Company Visits: Twice a month, the REA visits local operators and tours development sites to learn about how operators execute upon their projects. Past tours have included Hudson Yards, Rockefeller Center, and the World Trade Center. Education & Case Competitions: The REA hosts educational events focused on interview preparation and career opportunities, including Excel and Argus training. Members also have access to real estate case competitions at UT Austin, MIT, UNC-Hines, and Kellogg.
