Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership

Harnessing the power of diversity

The Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) is the first of its kind. Designed by Mariah Celestine '20 and Camira Livers-Powell '20 in collaboration with the DEI team, the PPIL is a co-curricular program aimed at equipping our students across all academic programs with the essential skills for managing diversity through a combination of assessments, workshops, and programmatic endeavors throughout their educational journey at Columbia Business School.

Soft Launch for Spring 2021

This spring semester, PPIL will have a "soft launch," during which all students will have the opportunity to participate in events and workshops. We are also encouraging all centers and programs, divisions, and student groups to develop at least one special program that is PPIL-approved. During this phased rollout, all first-year MBA students will be required to attend at least one PPIL-approved session and submit a post-event refection form.  Concurrently, a group of students from across the academic programs will be serving on the PPIL Student Advisory Council in order to further refine the program in advance of its School-wide launch next fall for all MBA, EMBA, MS, and PhD students. More detailed information on the student requirements can be found under the Resources page.
