Learning Tracks

All Columbia Business School students are enrolled in the Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) Program. Learn more about how PPIL is structured for each student population.

MBA Student Track

The MBA Student PPIL track offers full-time MBA students the opportunity to self-select one PPIL-approved event offered throughout each semester.

PPIL Session 1

Students select one PPIL-approved event from the calendar of events and submit a reflection form in their first semester registered.

PPIL Session 2

Students select one PPIL-approved event from the calendar of events and submit a reflection form in their second semester registered.

PPIL Session 3

Students select one PPIL-approved event from the calendar of events and submit a reflection form in their third semester registered.

PPIL Session 4

Students select one PPIL-approved event from the calendar of events and submit a reflection form in their fourth semester registered.

EMBA Student Track

The EMBA Student PPIL track offers three structured PPIL sessions during residency weeks and includes the option of one self-selected event.

PPIL Session 1-Orientation Workshop

Students attend their orientation session which includes an introduction to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the PPIL Program, and their first PPIL workshop. Students must submit a reflection form.

PPIL Session 2-Fall Residence Week

During residence week, students attend their second PPIL workshop and submit a reflection form .

PPIL Session 3-Spring Residence Week

During residence week, students attend third PPIL workshop and submit a reflection form .

PPIL Session 4-Elective Event

In their final academic year, students select one PPIL-approved event from the calendar of events and submits a reflection form.
